15. Holandia

 Stolica Holandii nazywana jest często Wenecją Północy. Zawdzięcza to przeszło stu pięćdziesięciu kanałom i dziewięćdziesięciu wyspom. Nie bez znaczenia jest także ponad tysiąc pięćset mostów łączących brzegi kanałów. Trzy główne kanały stolicy Holandii - Herengracht, Keizersgracht i Prinsengracht zostały wykopane w XVII wieku. Amsterdam połączony jest kanałami także z Morzem Północnym i Renem.

Kilka lat temu Amsterdamskie kanały zostały wpisane na Światową Listę Dziedzictwa UNESCO.

The capital of the Netherlands is often called the Venice of the North. This is due to more than one hundred and fifty channels and ninety islands. Not without significance is also more than one thousand five hundred bridges connecting the edges of the channels. The three main channels, capital of the Netherlands - Herengracht, Keizersgracht and Prinsengracht were dug in the seventeenth century. Amsterdam is connected to the channels with the North Sea and the Rhine.
Several years ago, The Amsterdam canals have been inscribed on the World Heritage List of UNESCO.
