Peak District jest to jeden z pierwszych parków narodowych na terenie
środkowej Anglii. Powstał w 1951 r. i jest jednym z najliczniej
odwiedzanych parków Wielkiej Brytanii. Jako jedyny zyskał uznanie Rady
Europejskiej. Składa się z dwóch części tzw. White i Dark Peaku.
Obejmuje kilka hrabstw m.in. Derbyshire (większość), Cheshire,
Staffordshire, Greater Manchester oraz South i West Yorkshire.

Peak District is one of the first national parks in the central England. It was established in 1951 and is one of the most visited parks in the UK. As the only recognized for the European Council. It consists of two parts called. White and Dark Peaku. Covers several counties including Derbyshire (majority), Cheshire, Staffordshire, Greater Manchester and South and West Yorkshire.
